ABOARD THE CANADIAN NATIONAL, Manitoba (28 July 1994) -- We're almost in Churchill. The thin river of blue just below the horizon is the Churchill River, where beluga whale can be seen in the summer. Somewhere south of here I saw (from the train) three polar bear, a sow and two cubs.
