HAWAI'I VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK, Hawai'i -- I drove to the end of Chain of Craters Road to take pictures of the lava flowing into the sea. Unfortunately, this is one of several shots where I screwed up the exposure. I somehow set the ASA (film speed) wrong -- in the middle of the roll -- and blew the exposure on this shot and a few others. This is the best of what I could get of the lava flow in the daytime. The best time is to see it at night, although the walk along the trail may be dicey. I found it worth the view, however.
